خلاصه داستان : پس از به ارث بردن یک خانه خشتی قدیمی در روستای زادگاهش در اروپای شرقی، مردی که تمام عمرش را در انگلستان گذرانده است، به آنجا بازمی‌گردد. اما به زودی متوجه می‌شود که ساکنان روستا راز تاریکی درباره یک فرقه اسلاوی کافر و گذشته خودش پنهان کرده‌اند.
