In the summer of 1941, the United States and Japan seem on the brink of war after constant embargos and failed diplomacy come to no end. "Tora! Tora! Tora!", named after the code words use by the lead Japanese pilot to indicate they had surprised the Americans, covers the days leading up to the attack on Pearl Harbor, which plunged America into the Second World War.

خلاصه داستان : جنگ جهانى دوم. پس از کوشش نافرجام و فاجعه‏ آمیز دو زندانى امریکایى براى فرار از « بازداشتگاه هفده »، زندانى‏ هاى قرارگاه شماره‏ ى چهار در مى‏ یابند که یک خبرچین در میان‏شان وجود دارد. هدف سوءظن آن‏ها « سفتن » ( هولدن ) است.

The elderly Shukishi and his wife, Tomi, take the long journey from their small seaside village to visit their adult children in Tokyo. Their elder son, Koichi, a doctor, and their daughter, Shige, a hairdresser, don't have much time to spend with their aged parents, and so it falls to Noriko, the widow of their younger son who was killed in the war, to keep her in-laws company.
